Careers Company goes international

The Faculty of Economics and Business wants to connect top students with international corporations. It's brand new Corporate Master Programme is on the look-out for the first 20 to go to Unicef or De Nederlandsche Bank.

Careers Company, the student employment department of FEB, has begun the recruitment process for the first edition of the Corporate Master Programme, a new initiative to connect top students with international corporations.

The six-month-long programme will begin in September 2015 for eligible FEB masters students and will offer around 20 positions for both Dutch and international students. It will include an internship at organizations such as Unicef, ING Bank, De Nederlandsche Bank and GasUnie, among others.

Internships abroad

Most of the internships will take place in the Netherlands, but some will be offered in the United States and China as well. Participants will also receive a weekly session with a personal mentor for advice, according to Wijnand Aalderink, director of Careers Company. ‘The aim of the programme is to provide professional opportunities to the best students so they can find a good position in the job market. That improves the reputation of the university too, in the end.’

Career Company

The programme is not the only initiative for international students at Careers Company. Since September 2014, the international Student Team, consisting of 9 members, has been helping out other students by checking their CVs, organizing activities and informing them about job opportunities. Twice a week, they organize professional workshops in English and networking sessions at their new office/bar.
